This was one of the most fun, technical, and coldest shoots we have ever done.
Micah and I met in high school in 2016. She is an ice skater and wanted to shoot at the Ice Chalet for her senior photos.
We were so excited to shoot this, but then we were hit with the realization that moisture might condense inside of all our equipment, but we were determined. After a lot of brainstorming, we decided to keep our equipment pretty cold for quite a few hours before bringing it into the ice rink. So, we put our camera and lenses in the freezer overnight (hoping that nothing went wrong), and then we transported everything in coolers with some ice packs to the rink, and it worked!!
Shooting on the ice was a bit slippery and risky, but the results were worth it! Thank you, Micah, for trusting us with this amazing idea!!
